I have had the pleasure of knowing [NAME] since [DATE 1]. I was [HIS/HER] teacher in history during [HIS/HER] [NUMBER] year in college. Since then and in every respect, [HE/SHE] has been an exemplary student. Even now in [HIS/HER] senior year, [HE/SHE] remains a positive, accountable, and determined student.

[NAME] leads the [COMPANY NAME] organization, which has over [NUMBER 1] members and is also the second biggest organization in the school. It is one of the most active student organizations in the school. Its by-laws require the members to meet at least once a week and the officers are obliged to submit a report every other week to their adviser. The organization is also required to participate in all major school activities, which requires a lot of planning and organizing. As the organization adviser, I have seen how [HE/SHE] was able to manage the affairs of [HIS/HER] organization with enthusiasm and efficiency while keeping [HIS/HER] grades in check.

Aside from [HIS/HER] remarkable performance as the leader of the organization, [HE/SHE] has also displayed brilliant academic performance. [HE/SHE] has been a consistent honor student in [HIS/HER] class and has participated in several academic competitions in [HIS/HER] junior year. 

[NAME] pursuit for excellence is not only displayed in [HIS/HER] leadership and superior academic performance. [HE/SHE] considers it as [HIS/HER] way of life. It is reflected in everything that [HE/SHE] does, both inside and outside of the school campus. [HE/SHE] is an active participant of a campaign called “Sponsor a Reader” which was founded by young people in [HIS/HER] community who volunteer in teaching homeless children to read as well as provide them books that were donated by citizens and other organizations. In my fifteen years of teaching, I know only a few students who have the same dedication and compassion that [HE/SHE] has. [HE/SHE] believes in doing things right and influences his/her peers with [HIS/HER] can-do attitude. 

When I think of all the qualities I admire in an individual - integrity, determination, tenacity, hard work, and leadership - I think of [NAME]. I was not surprised to discover that [HE/SHE] was nominated for a leadership award at the National Youth Leadership Conference. I am honored to write this letter of recommendation and would not think twice to recommend [HIM/HER] for future opportunities such as this. Being h[HIS/HER] adviser has been one of the greatest joys of my teaching career.
