How to Add an Event to a Shared Google Calendar

• Step 1: Create a New Shared Calendar Event on Your Google Calendar Page

  

  Open your Google Calendar main page and locate your shared calendar in either the “My calendars” or “Other calendars” list, then check the shared calendar (if unchecked) before clicking on a date in the calendar field. In the popup window that appears, input the necessary details about the event (i.e., title, schedule, guests) before clicking on the Save button. Your new event will automatically become visible to anyone you’re sharing the calendar.

• Step 2: Edit an Existing Shared Calendar Event on Your Google Calendar Page

  

  Locate the shared calendar in one of the calendar lists in the left panel (click the list’s label to expand it) and ensure the calendar is active, then click on the desired event in the calendar field. Select “Edit event” (pencil icon) at the top of the popup window and make the necessary changes on the editing page.

• Step 3: Create a Recurring Shared Calendar Event in Your Google Calendar

  

  Go to your Google Calendar main page and ensure the shared calendar is active in the calendar list. Click on the intended event in the calendar field, select “Edit event” in the popup window, open the dropdown list next to “All day” on the editing page, pick the desired option, and click on the Save button.
