How to Join a Class on Google Classroom
Besides creating a class, allow any student or teacher to join your class anytime on Google Classroom. This simple tutorial has your back so no one else has to be left out during virtual learning sessions.

Step 1: Sign In With Your Google Classroom Account
For desktop users, open your browser and type in classroom.google.com to redirect you to the sign-in page. For mobile users, you can open the application and sign in immediately. Enter the correct email address and password to avoid errors.
In the case that you do not have authorization or access to use the account, talk to your teacher and ask for the log-in details.

Step 2: Click Join a Class
When you sign in to your account for the first time, you will see two options on your Google Classroom dashboard: Create a Class or Join a Class. For students, click Join a Class. If you are a co-teacher with the intention of joining a class, you will be notified via e-mail.

Step 3: Enter Your Code Manually
By clicking Join a Class, a pop-up box will appear asking you to enter the class code. When you enter the class code, make sure the account you are using is authorized by the school or provided with access by your teacher (if you are using personal Google accounts). The class code should be 5-7 letters long without special symbols or spaces. In case the code does not work, you need to ask the teacher again, or go to Google Helpdesk to troubleshoot technical issues.

Step 4: Click the Invite Link In Your E-Mail
If your teacher sent you the class code using E-Mail, all you need to do is locate the link in your inbox. By clicking the link, you will be automatically redirected to the class page.
Why can’t I find the class code link in my email?
There are technically two reasons why you cannot find the Google Classroom code link in your email inbox. One, your teacher might have not sent you any, thus, you need to ask them to resend the mail. Or, you can check your spam folder since the mail might be sent there.
The class code I entered does not work.
When you enter the provided code and it does not work or allow you to join the class, ask your teacher to give you a new code.
Why can’t I join a class with my account?
To join the class, you can only use an authorized account or using a Google Workspace account made for your school.
