How to Make Non-profit Documents in Google Sheets
An article from Chron (a business publication) explains that even if an organization registers itself as non-profit, it doesn’t automatically exempt it from expenses like taxes. So, whether you run a community school or a volunteer fundraising foundation, keeping a close eye on your budget and other monetary values is essential.
If you need to create your non-profit sheets effectively, then Google Sheets is just the application you need. Read our tips (below) on how to make the most out of Sheets.
1. Prepare a Cell Range for Your Table
Begin by opening a new workbook document in Google Sheets. Next, set up a cell range to determine your table’s layout. This table is where all your data is stored.
2. Format The Cells in Your Table
To make your non-profit sheet easier to read, you need to edit and customize the table’s cells. Add color to the cells by selecting one or more of them and using the Fill Color option on the right side of the formatting bar. To resize the cells, click-drag or double-click the lines between the letter and number labels. And, use the Text Color option (beside Fill Color) to color your cells’ text.
3. Incorporate Charts in Your Non-profit Sheet
You can take advantage of charts to visualize your data and make it easier to understand. You can make a chart from scratch by going to Insert and selecting Chart. While selecting the chart (reselect by double-clicking), use the Chart Editor window to edit and design as needed.
4. Paste Your Table into Google Docs
If you’re going to print your table, you need to transfer it to Google Docs first. Simply select the cell range, copy with Ctrl+C, go to the Docs page, and press Ctrl+V (you can follow the same process for your chart). Additionally, enter a simple title in the new document, like "Education Charity Annual Report” or “Business Marketing Donation Budget.”
