In the experimental research, the researcher manipulates the independent variables and measure the dependent variables in order to establish the cause and effect relationship between them. The independent variable is controlled by or set by the researcher. The dependent variable is measured by the researcher. The experiment is the prescribed set of conditions which allows measurement of the effects of the particular treatment.

How to conduct the Experimental Research?
Step 1: Select and define the problem
The significance and the problem also play a vital role in the selection of research problem. If the issue is relatively important, then the researcher tends towards the selection of the problem. The researcher knowledge must play a vital role in the selection of the research problem. External criteria involves how the topic is significant for the field, availability of both data and data gathering methods and the administration is cooperative or not.
Step 2: Select the subject and instruments
The choosing of the instruments that shall be used to collect data is a important step in the research process. Validity and reliability of the collected data and, above all, their potential comparability with data from initial investigations shall be prioritized during this stage. We offer a decision tree, which is intended to guide the selection of the instruments employed in the research projects. Research conducted along these lines have greater potential to widen the knowledge on the studied subject and contribute to addressing truly socially relevant needs.
Step 3: Select the design
The selection of a research design is also relying on the nature of the research problem or issue being addressed, the researchers’ individual experiences, and the audiences for the study. One of the general issues in deciding how to conduct a study is to first plan the appropriate epidemiological study design for acquiring the stated aim and objectives of the proposed research question.
Step 4: Execution of the procedures
After the researcher has gathered all the data, the next step in the research procedure is the execution of the project(i.e., implementation phase of the project). This step is very significant in the research process as it assures that the research is being carried out systematically and in time.
Step 5: Analyzing the data
Data Analysis is the procedure of systematically applying statistical and/or logical methods to describe and illustrate, condense and recap, and analyze the data. There are a number of problems that researchers should be cognizant of with respect to data analysis.
How can you characterise the Experimental Research?
There is the existence of both the independent and the dependent variable. The activity or the characteristics that the resercher believes shall make a difference. It is completely demading and productive but also produces the soundest proof of hypothesized cause effect relationships. There is the difference between the correlational and experimental researches. The correlational research shall be used to produce a certain score for the specific individual. Experimental research produces most global results.
The role of the researcher in these research studies are forming and selecting the groups, it too decides that what will happen to the group, it also attempt to control all factors and variables, observes and measures the effect on the group. Every effort is made to make sure that both the groups have the equal variables except for the independent vehicle. The experimental group receiving the new treatment being investigated. The control group receives the different treatment or similar treatment as usual.
The experimental treatment is not given te adequate time to take the effect. The experimental group must be exposed to treatment for long enough period of time for the treatment to work. There will be the similar result if both the experiment and the control groups are the similar. The experiment are considered to be valid only due to the manipulation of the independent variable. The experiment must meet the two conditions like the internal and external validity.
There are the two classes of the experimental designs such as the single variable and the factorial variable. The single variable has only one variable and the factorial has two or more than two variables. In these factorial experiment, at least one variable is manipulated. In the data analysis and interpretation, it involves the graphically represented result.
And the designs should be adequated for aequacy, then the treatment effectiveness is assesed. The experimental research is considered to most scientifically sophisticated research method. It is referred as the observation under the controlled conditions. The experimental research design are concerned with the examination of the effect of independent variable on the dependent variable where independent variable is manipulated by the treatment.
The true experimental research designs must assists consistently of the following three characteristics like the manipulation, control, randomization.
