Counselling Excuse Note
Excuse Note
Dear Emily Davis,
I hope this message finds you well. I am penning this letter today with an unexpected request. A close family member has encountered a sudden emergency situation that I need to attend with immediate effect. I am very much aware and I apologize for the disruption this will cause both in terms of my commitment to counselling sessions and the effort you dedicate for my case.
Given my unforeseen family obligations, I am respectfully requesting for your understanding and compassion during this pivotal moment in my life. I will, regrettably, miss the forthcoming scheduled counseling sessions until further notice.
Please consider this a formal letter of absence. I, Michael Smith, need to be present with my family and provide the necessary support. While it is a situation I would have opted to be missing, it is crucial for me to tend to the needs of my family in this tough phase.
I assure you that as soon as the dust settles, I will be more than ready to make up for the missed time and sessions and will do everything I can to get back on track. The challenges and disruption I am dealing with now are temporary and I believe that my commitment and progress in therapy will not be hampered in the long run.
I truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation at this time and look forward to resuming our counseling meetings at the earliest opportunity. Please feel free to get in touch with me for further information, if necessary.
Thank you for your empathy and understanding in advance.
Kind regards,
Michael Smith
