FREELANCE ARTIST CONTRACT
This Freelance Artist Contract ("Contract") is entered into as of [DATE] between [CLIENT'S NAME], located at [CLIENT'S ADDRESS] ("Client"), and [YOUR NAME], located at [YOUR ADDRESS] ("Artist").
1. Scope of Work:
The Client hereby engages the Artist to provide artistic services as described below:
1.1 Engagement of Artistic Services
The Artist shall create three digital illustrations for use in the Client's marketing materials. These illustrations will depict scenes related to the Client's product line, as outlined in the attached project brief.
1.2 Service Agreement
The Artist agrees to perform the services outlined in this Contract in a professional and timely manner, adhering to the following deadlines:

2. Payment:
2.1 Compensation Agreement
The Client agrees to compensate the Artist for the services rendered according to the following payment structure:
Total project fee: $1500
Payment schedule:

50% ($750) upon signing this Contract.

50% ($750) upon delivery of the final artwork.
2.2 Payment Method
Payment shall be made in US dollars via bank transfer to the Artist's account provided upon request.
2.3 Late Payment
In the event of late payment, the Client shall be subject to a late fee of 5% for each week the payment is overdue.
3. Deadlines:
3.1 Deadline Agreement
The parties shall mutually agree upon deadlines for the completion of the project, as outlined in section 1.2 above.
3.2 Timely Completion
The Artist shall make reasonable efforts to meet the agreed-upon deadlines.
3.3 Adjustments for Delays
Delays caused by factors beyond the Artist's control may result in adjustments to the project timeline, with both parties agreeing to negotiate any necessary changes in good faith.
4. Ownership and Usage Rights:
4.1 Ownership Rights
Upon full payment, the Client shall own the rights to the commissioned artwork, including all intellectual property rights, for use in their marketing materials and other related purposes.
4.2 Artist's Usage Rights
The Artist retains the right to use the commissioned artwork in their portfolio, website, social media, or other promotional materials, with credit to the Client, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
5. Revisions and Alterations:
5.1 Revisions and Alterations
The Client may request reasonable revisions or alterations to the artwork within two rounds of revisions unless otherwise agreed upon.
5.2 Additional Revisions
Additional revisions or alterations beyond the agreed-upon number shall be subject to additional fees, to be determined by the Artist and agreed upon by the Client in writing.
6. Confidentiality:
6.1 Confidentiality Agreement
Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary or sensitive information disclosed during the project.
6.2 Duration of Confidentiality
Confidentiality shall remain in effect indefinitely following the termination or completion of this Contract.
7. Termination:
7.1 Termination for Material Breach
Either party may terminate this Contract with written notice in the event of a material breach by the other party, subject to a cure period of 10 days.
7.2 Compensation upon Termination
In the event of termination, the Client shall compensate the Artist for any work completed up to the date of termination, as well as any non-cancelable expenses incurred by the Artist.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
8.1 Governing Law
This Contract shall be governed by and construed by the laws of the State of [State].
8.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Contract shall be resolved exclusively through arbitration in City Ville, State, by the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
9. Entire Agreement:
This Contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the subject matter hereof, and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
