FREELANCE ART CONTRACT

THIS FREELANCE ARTIST SERVICES CONTRACT (the “Contract”), is entered into this [DAY] day of [MONTH], [YEAR] (the “Effective Date”), by and between [CLIENT'S NAME] of [CLIENT'S ADDRESS], (the “Client”), and [YOUR NAME] of [YOUR COMPANY ADDRESS], (the “Artist”).

1. SERVICES

The Artist, [Your Name Name], agrees to create artwork according to the specifications set out by the Client, [Client's Name], hereinafter referred to as the “Work” within the timeline specified in this Contract. The scope of work to be performed by the Artist includes consulting with the Client, conducting thorough research to understand the project requirements, designing artwork according to the Client's vision and preferences, and providing revisions to final proofs based on feedback provided by the Client.

2. COMPENSATION

The Client shall pay the Artist a total compensation of $1500 for the Services rendered under this Contract as specified. The payment plan is as follows:

  • An initial deposit of $500 shall be made upon the signing of this Contract.

  • A second payment of $500 shall be made upon completion of [specific milestone or date].

  • The final payment of $500 shall be made upon delivery and acceptance of the completed work, as outlined in the Scope of Work section of this Contract. This final payment is due within 30 days of the completion date.

3. TERM AND TERMINATION

This Contract commences on the Effective Date, [Effective Date], and continues until the completion of the Work unless terminated earlier as permitted herein. Either party may terminate this Contract upon written notice if the other party breaches any material term of this Contract and fails to cure the breach within [number of days] after receiving written notice. Upon termination, all rights and obligations of the parties under this Contract shall cease, except for those rights and obligations that, by their nature, should survive termination, including but not limited to, the Client's obligation to pay for Services rendered before termination.

4. OWNERSHIP AND USE OF WORK

Upon receipt of full payment, the Client shall become the owner of the final artwork to use and distribute as they see fit. The Artist retains the right to use the completed project and any preliminary designs for design competitions, future publications on design, educational purposes, marketing materials, and portfolio.

5. CONFIDENTIALITY

The Artist agrees that, during executing this Contract, they may have access to certain confidential information. The Artist promises to uphold a stringent level of confidentiality concerning this information. They commit to be discreet, safeguarding the information they are privy to, and ensuring its confidentiality is not compromised in any way.

6. INDEMNIFICATION

Both the Client and the Artist agree to indemnify and hold harmless one another from and against all losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including attorney fees, arising out of the performance of this Contract.

7. GOVERNING LAW

This Contract shall be governed by and construed following the laws of [COUNTRY/STATE] without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
