Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architect to join our dynamic architecture team. The Senior Architect will lead architectural projects of varying scale and complexity, from initial concept through to completion, ensuring that design excellence, technical integrity, and client satisfaction are achieved. This role requires a strong combination of design creativity, technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead architectural design projects from inception to completion, including conceptualization, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.

2. Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project goals, objectives, and requirements, and translate them into innovative design solutions.

3. Provide technical expertise in building codes, regulations, materials, and construction techniques, ensuring that designs comply with all applicable standards and regulations.

4. Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

5. Conduct quality assurance reviews of architectural drawings, specifications, and deliverables, and ensure that the highest standards of quality and professionalism are maintained.

6. Mentor and coach junior staff members, providing guidance on design techniques, technical skills, and professional development opportunities.

7. Cultivate strong client relationships, respond to client feedback and concerns, and identify opportunities for additional project work.

8. Contribute to business development efforts, including preparing proposals, participating in client presentations, and identifying new project opportunities.

9. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in architecture and design, and apply them to project work as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

• Professional licensure as an architect (required).

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design and project management.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other architectural design software.

• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction standards.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading architectural projects and teams.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

• LEED accreditation or other sustainable design certifications.

• Experience working on commercial, residential, or institutional projects.

• Knowledge of modernist or sustainable design principles.

Working Conditions

• This position typically works in an office environment but may require occasional travel to project sites and client meetings.
