School Counselor Annual Agreement

This School Counselor Annual Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between [Your Company Name], hereinafter referred to as "School," and [Counselor Name], hereinafter referred to as "Counselor," effective [Start Date].

WHEREAS, both parties desire to enter into an agreement that outlines the terms and conditions of the Counselor's employment with the School;

NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and the mutual covenants contained herein, the parties agree as follows:

I. Roles and Responsibilities

A. The Counselor shall provide counseling services to students in grades [Grades] on a regular basis, including individual counseling sessions, group counseling sessions, and crisis intervention as needed.

B. The Counselor shall collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify students in need of counseling services and develop appropriate intervention plans.

D. The Counselor shall participate in regular meetings with school staff to discuss student progress, behavior, and any other relevant issues.

E. The Counselor shall provide support and guidance to students on academic, personal, and social issues, helping them develop the skills and strategies needed to succeed in school and beyond.

F. The Counselor shall adhere to the ethical guidelines and standards of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and state licensing boards.

G. The Counselor shall participate in professional development activities to enhance counseling skills and stay current on best practices in the field of school counseling.

II. Performance Expectations

A. The Counselor is expected to provide counseling services to students for a minimum of [Number of Days] days per week, with each counseling session lasting approximately [Duration of Session] minutes.

B. The Counselor is expected to respond to student crises and emergencies in a timely manner, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.

B. The Counselor shall respond to emails and phone calls from students, parents, and staff in a timely manner, providing information and support as needed.

C. The Counselor shall participate in regular team meetings and staff meetings to discuss student progress, share information, and collaborate on strategies to support student success.

D. The Counselor shall utilize appropriate communication channels, such as newsletters, website updates, and social media, to inform the school community about counseling services and resources available.

IV. Evaluation and Feedback

A. The Counselor's performance shall be evaluated annually by the School Administrator, based on criteria including but not limited to counseling effectiveness, student outcomes, and professional development.

B. The Counselor shall receive feedback from students, parents, and staff regarding counseling services, using this feedback to inform practice and improve services.

C. The Counselor shall participate in self-evaluation and reflection, identifying areas for growth and development and setting goals for improvement.

V. Term and Termination

A. This Agreement shall commence on [Start Date] and shall continue in effect until [End Date], unless terminated earlier as provided herein.

B. Either party may terminate this Agreement upon [Number of Days] days' prior written notice to the other party.
