Re: Security Deposit Refund for 123 Main Street
Dear Jean Harris,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to formally request the return of my security deposit for the property located at 123 Main Street, which I vacated on September 1, 2050. As per the lease agreement and state laws, the security deposit should be refunded in a timely manner after the end of the tenancy.
The total amount of my security deposit was $1,000, which was paid on August 1, 2050. It has been more than the legally allowed period of 30 days since I moved out, yet I have not received any notification regarding deductions, nor have I received the refund of my deposit.
To my knowledge, the property was left in good condition aside from normal wear and tear. I took care to ensure that no damages were incurred, and I also completed all cleaning duties as outlined in the lease agreement. Please let me know if there are any issues or discrepancies with this assessment.
I kindly request that the full amount of the deposit be returned to me no later than October 9, 2050, to the following address:
789 Oak Street
Anytown, State, 12345
If I do not receive the full amount or an itemized list of deductions within the specified time, I will have no choice but to pursue further action as allowed under State law, which may include seeking damages of up to twice the amount of the original deposit, court costs, and attorney fees.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to resolving this issue swiftly and amicably.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
