3. Schedule and Location

  • The Volunteer is not entitled to any employee benefits, such as health insurance, vacation pay, or retirement benefits.

  • The Volunteer will not have any claim for unemployment benefits.

6. Code of Conduct

The Volunteer agrees to adhere to the following code of conduct while volunteering at the Art Gallery:

  • Maintain professionalism and respect towards Art Gallery staff, visitors, and fellow volunteers.

  • Follow all Art Gallery policies and procedures.

  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and communicate any changes in availability.

  • Dress appropriately for the activities involved and adhere to any dress code established by the Art Gallery.

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all proprietary and sensitive information obtained while volunteering.

7. Training and Orientation

The Art Gallery will provide training and orientation to the Volunteer to ensure they are prepared to fulfill their responsibilities. The Volunteer agrees to attend any scheduled training sessions and complete necessary onboarding processes.

8. Liability and Insurance

The Volunteer acknowledges that:

  • They are volunteering their time and effort without expectation of compensation.

  • The Art Gallery will not be liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during volunteer activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Art Gallery.

  • The Volunteer is responsible for their own health and safety and will take necessary precautions while performing volunteer duties.

9. Indemnification

The Volunteer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Art Gallery, its officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or in connection with the Volunteer’s participation in the Art Gallery’s activities.

10. Confidentiality

The Volunteer acknowledges that during the course of their service, they may have access to confidential information regarding the Art Gallery, its operations, staff, and visitors. The Volunteer agrees to:

  • Keep all confidential information private and not disclose it to any third party.

  • Use confidential information only for purposes related to their volunteer service.

  • Return any materials containing confidential information upon termination of this Agreement.

11. Media Release

The Volunteer grants permission to the Art Gallery to use their name, image, and likeness in any promotional materials, publications, or other media related to the Art Gallery’s activities without compensation. The Volunteer understands that this includes photographs or videos taken during volunteer activities.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time with written notice. Upon termination, the Volunteer will:

  • Return any Art Gallery property, including identification badges, keys, and materials.

  • Complete any outstanding responsibilities or projects to the best of their ability.

13. Non-Discrimination Policy

The Art Gallery is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all volunteers. The Volunteer agrees to respect and uphold this non-discrimination policy. The Art Gallery does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.

14. Governing Law
