Rebuttal Letter for Termination

Dear Ms. Williams,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to formally address the recent termination of my employment from TechSolutions Inc., which was communicated to me in the termination letter dated November 20, 2050. I respectfully disagree with the reasons for my termination and would like to request a reconsideration of the decision.

During my 3 years at TechSolutions, I have always strived to contribute positively to the team and demonstrate my commitment to the company's goals. I am proud of the work I have accomplished and the relationships I have built with colleagues and clients. However, I believe the reason given for my termination, specifically “unsatisfactory performance,” does not accurately reflect my work or the contributions I have made.

I understand that the company cited performance-related issues in the termination letter. However, upon reviewing my recent performance evaluations, I have consistently received positive feedback. For example, my performance review from September 2050, signed by my direct supervisor, Mr. Robert Green, highlighted that I exceeded my quarterly targets for both client acquisitions and project delivery. Furthermore, I had no formal warnings or disciplinary actions before my termination, which makes the decision seem abrupt and disproportionate to the situation.

Additionally, I would like to bring to your attention certain mitigating circumstances that I believe were not taken into account. In early October 2050, I experienced a personal health challenge that required me to take a brief medical leave. I promptly notified HR and my team about my condition, and I returned to work as soon as I was able. While I understand the importance of maintaining high performance, I feel that my brief absence and the challenges it presented were not given proper consideration when evaluating my performance.

I also want to highlight that I have continuously worked on improving my skills and seeking feedback to ensure my growth within the company. In fact, I had already enrolled in a management training course that was scheduled to begin in December 2050, which I believe would have further enhanced my ability to contribute to TechSolutions’ objectives.

Given these factors, I respectfully request a meeting with you to discuss this matter further and explore the possibility of reconsidering the decision. I am confident that a review of my work history, coupled with a discussion of the circumstances surrounding my recent performance, will clarify the situation.

I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to have worked at TechSolutions and remain committed to resolving this matter amicably. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,
