I. Purpose and Scope of Volunteer Service

A. The Volunteer’s services will include, but are not limited to:

B. The Volunteer understands that their role is essential to the success of the child care programs and will contribute positively to the lives of the children in their care.

II. Duration of Volunteer Service

A. The Volunteer agrees to begin their service on [Start Date] and continue until [End Date], unless terminated earlier by either party in accordance with this Agreement. The Organization may request an extension of the Volunteer’s service beyond the initial end date, subject to mutual agreement.

B. The Volunteer is expected to fulfill their duties on the agreed schedule. If unforeseen circumstances arise that prevent the Volunteer from being available, the Volunteer agrees to notify the Organization as soon as possible.

III. Duties and Responsibilities

B. The Volunteer will adhere to the policies and procedures established by the Organization, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. These policies may include emergency protocols, behavioral guidelines, and specific instructions related to child care and supervision.

C. The Volunteer will act in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner at all times, recognizing that their role is to assist in maintaining a positive, nurturing environment for children. They must treat all children, families, staff, and other volunteers with kindness, patience, and respect.

D. The Volunteer agrees to cooperate with and report to designated staff members when needed, maintaining open communication regarding any concerns, incidents, or needs that may arise. The Volunteer must follow the direction of staff members at all times.

E. The Volunteer will be expected to attend periodic meetings and training sessions organized by the Organization to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to provide effective child care.

IV. Supervision and Training

A. The Volunteer will receive an orientation and training session before commencing volunteer duties. The orientation will include information on the Organization’s child care procedures, safety protocols, child development principles, and expectations for volunteer conduct.

B. If necessary, the Volunteer will undergo additional training required by law or the Organization to meet specific child care needs. This may include background checks, certifications, or specialized training for working with children, including first aid, CPR, or behavioral management.

C. The Volunteer agrees to participate in ongoing training as required by the Organization. This includes attending workshops or seminars to stay informed about best practices in child care and development.

D. The Volunteer will be provided with clear instructions and support throughout their time with the Organization. They are encouraged to ask questions, seek clarification, and request assistance as needed.

V. Volunteer's Personal Responsibility

A. The Volunteer is expected to maintain their personal health and well-being and must refrain from volunteering if they are ill, injured, or experiencing any condition that could impair their ability to safely care for children.

B. The Volunteer agrees to disclose any medical conditions or personal limitations that may affect their ability to perform their duties. This information will be kept confidential and used only to ensure the Volunteer’s safety and ability to perform volunteer activities effectively.

C. The Volunteer is responsible for maintaining punctuality and notifying the Organization as soon as possible if they will be late or absent from a scheduled volunteer shift. The Volunteer agrees to arrive prepared for the day’s activities and adhere to the agreed-upon schedule.

D. The Volunteer understands that their commitment to the agreed schedule is crucial to the success of the child care programs. Consistent attendance and reliability are expected and appreciated.

VI. Liability and Insurance

A. The Volunteer acknowledges that while the Organization maintains general liability insurance, the Volunteer is not an employee of the Organization and will not be compensated for their time or services.

B. The Volunteer agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless [Your Company Name], its officers, agents, employees, and representatives from any liability, damages, claims, or costs arising from their volunteer service. This includes, but is not limited to, any accidents, injuries, or unforeseen incidents that may occur during volunteer activities, except those caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

C. The Organization provides no insurance coverage for personal property that may be lost, damaged, or stolen during the Volunteer’s participation in the child care program. Volunteers are encouraged to leave personal belongings in a secure area.

D. The Volunteer agrees to immediately notify the Organization of any accidents, incidents, or injuries that occur during their volunteer work.

VII. Termination of Agreement

A. Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time with written notice. If the Volunteer’s conduct or performance fails to meet the Organization’s expectations, the Volunteer’s service may be terminated immediately without notice.

C. VIII. Confidentiality

A. The Volunteer agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding all matters concerning the children, their families, and any other private information obtained during their volunteer work. This includes but is not limited to personal, educational, and medical details about the children.

B. The Volunteer is prohibited from discussing or sharing any confidential information with anyone outside the Organization, unless explicitly authorized by the Organization or required by law. This includes conversations with other volunteers, friends, or family members.

C. The Volunteer will ensure that any records or documents containing confidential information are securely stored and are not accessible to unauthorized individuals. This includes physical and electronic documents.

D. The Volunteer acknowledges that any breach of confidentiality may result in the immediate termination of their volunteer service and may have legal consequences.

IX. General Provisions

A. This Agreement is non-binding and is intended to reflect the mutual understanding between the parties. The Volunteer acknowledges that their service is voluntary and does not constitute employment with the Organization. This Agreement does not create any expectation of future employment or benefits.

B. This Agreement may be amended or modified only by a written document signed by both the Volunteer and an authorized representative of the Organization. Any amendments must be agreed upon by both parties in writing.
