Free Commercial Cleaning Checklists

Preparation:

• Ensure all cleaning staff are properly trained on safety protocols and use of cleaning equipment.

• Verify the availability of necessary cleaning supplies and equipment before starting the task.

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and masks for a hygienic and safe cleaning process.

General Areas:

• Dust and wipe down all surfaces including desks, tables, countertops, and other furniture.

• Vacuum and mop all floors, paying special attention to high-traffic areas.

• Clean and sanitize light switches, door handles, and other frequently touched surfaces.

• Empty and replace trash bags in all bins throughout the facility.

• Check and restock janitorial carts with cleaning supplies as needed.

Restrooms:

• Clean and sanitize all restroom fixtures including toilets, sinks, faucets, and mirrors.

• Refill soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and toilet paper dispensers.

• Empty and disinfect sanitary disposal containers.

• Wipe down and sanitize door handles and other touchpoints.

Kitchen/Break Room:

• Clean and sanitize kitchen appliances such as microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee makers.

• Wash and disinfect all countertops, tables, and chairs.

• Empty and clean out refrigerator, disposing of any expired items.

• Clean and sanitize sinks and faucets.

Windows and Glass Surfaces:

• Clean windows and glass surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents.

• Ensure window sills and frames are free of dust and dirt.

Floor Maintenance:

• Strip and wax hard floors periodically to maintain a polished appearance.

• Steam clean carpets to remove stains and odors.

Specialized Cleaning:

• Conduct periodic deep cleaning of carpets, upholstery, and drapes.

• Clean and sanitize electronic equipment such as computer keyboards and monitors.

Inspection and Quality Assurance:

• Regularly inspect the cleanliness of the facility to ensure standards are met.

• Address any customer concerns promptly and make necessary adjustments to the cleaning routine.
