How to Make a Run Sheet in Apple Pages
When an event or project has a lot of different work involved, it ends up turning into a huge hassle. However, with a run sheet, all that planning and management becomes more doable.
As explained in an article from Quora (a diverse information resource), a run sheet is useful due to how it details your plan’s various tasks and their timeslots. And so, be it a photography workshop or wedding day rehearsal, incorporating a run sheet is always a good idea.
Putting together a run sheet using Apple Pages? Then be sure to read our tips down below!
1. Format Your Run Sheet’s Document Page
Before working on your run sheet, ensure that the page itself is properly set up. Delaying this for later is troublesome, as adjusting the contents afterward will likely happen.
After opening a new blank document in Apple Pages, open the Document menu in the side toolbar (located on the right). Under Printer and Paper Size, set the document’s size to your region’s standard. Along with that, give your page a 1-inch margin using the Document Margins section.
2. Give Your Run Sheet an Informative Name
In keeping your files and documents organized, adding a descriptive title is necessary. Doing so also makes it easily identifiable to anyone else that needs it.
At the very top of your page, write down a fairly detailed title. When thinking of what to write, go with something similar to “Patient Medical Diagnosis” or “Birthday Party Activities.” Don’t forget about using large bold text for the title.
3. Use Grid Tables for Your Run Sheet
When creating your run sheet document’s main body, grid tables are always a good go-to format. For Pages, use the Table menu found in the upper toolbar.
In the Table menu, choose a layout that suits your needs. Input the contents by simply clicking a cell and then typing. Add or remove rows by clicking anywhere on the table and using its bottom-left icon. For resizing, use the icon in the top-left corner.
4. Organizing Your Run Sheet’s Contents
In a run sheet, there’s more than just the steps and actions. Include any details that are crucial to your particular plan, like the type of personnel involved (truck drivers, stage managers, etc.). Logistics is something else worth considering. Just remember to keep different bits separated in their own tables.
