How to Make a Sales Organizational Chart in Apple Pages
Running a sales-oriented business isn’t easy, especially when it comes to managing your employees. This is where organizational charts come in handy, as they help in coordinating staff roles.
As explained by Investopedia (a business and finance resource), organizational charts use simple visuals to easily create even the most complex of staff hierarchies. So, whether you run a small shop or a global store chain, an organogram is an indispensable management tool.

1. Make Document Adjustments for Your Sales Organizational Chart
A bit of tweaking is required before working on the chart itself.
After opening a new document in Apple Pages, access the Document menu located in the side toolbar (on the right). Next, in that menu, turn off the Document Body option and confirm switching to a layout document.
2. Use the Title to Describe Your Sales Organizational Chart
The first element of your organizational chart is the title.
In Pages’ upper toolbar, click on the Text icon to place down a text box. Click or click-drag at the top of your page to set down the text box. To enter your title, click the text box and start typing—write down something similar to “Product Marketing Team” or “Frontline Clerk Staff.”
3. Build Your Sales Organizational Chart
Basic shapes are standard for any organizational chart, as they contain employee names and company positions.
Open the Shape menu in the upper toolbar and pick either the oval or rectangle. Place your chosen shape just below the title. For the first shape, start with the person who has the highest authority in the hierarchy (such as a brand manager or a regional director). Continue adding the other staff members in their own shapes.
4. Connect the Shapes in Your Sales Organizational Chart
It’s important that your organogram has lines that show the professional relationships between staff members.
Select two shapes with CMD+click and then go to Line in the Insert menu (at the top of Pages’ window). Choice from one of the Connection Line options and your highlighted shapes now have a line that adjusts itself whenever either of them is moved.
