How to Make a Workshop Certificate in Apple Pages
In regards to workshops, certificates are used for participation, attendance, and many other awards. However, they’re also used in legally documenting a workshop’s right to operate. According to Merriam-Webster (a resource of diverse information), certificates serve their purpose by containing all kinds of official details. So, whatever it’s made for, there’s no doubt that certificates are crucial to a workshop’s operations.
Are you unfamiliar with creating a workshop certificate using Apple Pages? No problem—just proceed down below and have a quick read through our handy tips!
1. Prepare a Professional Layout for Your Workshop Certificate
When using Apple Pages to make your workshop certificate, there are several things that need tweaking for the page’s format.
With a fresh document ready and waiting, turn off the Document Body setting within the Document sidebar menu (found on Pages’ right side). Next, adjust your page’s size by opening the File menu (above) and going into Page Setup. For your certificate’s size, 8.5 x 11 inches and 11 x 14 inches are good example choices.
2. Apply a Suitable Border to Your Workshop Certificate
Unless the workshop certificate is meant for legal use, there’s a fair bit of creative freedom when creating one. Depending on what lessons the workshop offers (like with art, cars, or sports), go with a border design that gives off a suitable tone or aesthetic.
After adding a border to your page, select it and go to Arrange. Under the Text Wrap option, choose None. After that, pick Stay on Page under Object Placement. Adjust your border’s size by click-dragging the handles found on its sides and corners.
3. Insert Thematic Visuals in the Workshop Certificate
Like with the border design, there’s plenty you can do with artwork and pictures if allowed. With the right imagery, your workshop certificate’s aesthetics will be very appealing. If presented as awards, then participants will happily display their printed achievements in a nice frame. Even the workshop’s own logo can add a lot to the overall appearance!
When adding images, set their Text Wrap and Object Placement the same way as with the border. Next, arrange their layering through the Arrange menu, using the Front and Back buttons.
4. Adding the Workshop Certificate’s Written Content
In the above toolbar, click the Text button and place the textbox by click-dragging it across the desired area. To write down the dialogue, simply select the textbox and then type away. And, similar to the image objects, click-drag one of the box’s handles to resize it.
And with that, preparing a workshop certificate is now much easier in Apple Pages! Finally, if you need editable content for your own needs, then remember to download our Workshop Certificate Templates!
